THE PURPOSE

It is said that 1 woman dies every thirteen minutes due to breast cancer.​    This disease needs to be stopped, so please join me on my ride to help raise awareness and finances to defeat breast cancer and all cancers for that matter.  I recently lost a dear family member to cancer and I’ve set out to do my part.  Hoping to raise money to donate to some fantastic organizations and lure people into getting involved by doing something completely ridiculous.  The response has been overwhelming and I’m trying hard to stay on top of it all.
 

 The money I raise will be donated to three organizations that are doing some great things with their services, education and research.
The American Cancer Society www.cancer.org ; is the authority as far as cancer is concern.  From research to post op/treatment counseling, from providing rides to and from chemo sessions to giving wigs to patients who’ve lost their hair. They’re a great source of information and have operators’ 24 hours a day answering questions.  Through my riding and the hard work of several on the home front I’m already able to present the ACS with a check for $1200.00!

 

The Feel Your Boobies Foundation www.feelyourboobies.com. FYB is a great foundation that uses media and unconventional methods to get their message out. Feel Your Boobies® is a call to action that reminds you about a habit that can increase your chances of early detection and potentially save your life. 
 

 
 

Rush University Medical Center www.rush.edu .  The money donated will be used directly to pay for mammograms that are given to women who can’t afford them.

 

My goal is to raise $10,000.00 so I have a lot of work to do!  Please help achieve my goal, every little bit helps!  If you can’t donate please forward this site to as many people as possible or get all your friends to “like” the FB page.
